Ulrike ZinkeParticipantHi Brendan,
I just downloaded the trial version of Tap Forms 5 today and have been playing around with it since.
Two questions aroused to which I haven’t found answers yet (though probably obvious).
1. When I import a csv document into a form – let’s say clients – i get double fields like ‘name’ or ‘company’ although i gave them the same names in the csv document as in the form. how can i avoid that?
2. How can I import additional information into the ‘client documents’ or the ‘client call log’ or however you name it that are linked to the form of a special person?
Thanks for your answers in advance!
Best, Ulrike

BrendanKeymasterHi Ulrike,
Thanks for taking Tap Forms out for a spin!
1. Tap Forms uses the names in the first row of the CSV file to determine which fields to map the record values to. Make sure you don’t have duplicate field names in the CSV file’s first row. Also make sure they’re spelled exactly the same as the form’s field names, case for case.
2. You would have to manually link up the records after you import them. There’s a checkmark button on the Link to Form field which lets you select from previously created records from the child form.

Ulrike ZinkeParticipantThanks. About the import issue: I got your instructions, but although i write everything correct and although i choose the different field types in the import window in the end i get double fields with the same title, but one is a text field and the other one is a number field. How can i avoid that?

BrendanKeymasterWould you be able to email me your form template and a sample of the CSV file you’re trying to import so I can test it out here?
And email me a screenshot of the Import Records settings you’re using.
