Not sure if the latest OS X update that did me in or not. Since the update Tap Forms opens with request for Encryption Key which it does not except anymore. What I have done is uploaded the app a number of times, restored to a back ups a few times. Updated my keychain files a number of times. I’ve even place all reference into the trash and down load the app and still it won’t let me unlock.
I’ve moved back to Bentos and updated to Filemaker which seems to be more stable. Any suggestions?

    Hi Tom,

Have you looked into the Keychain Access app for Tap Forms to see what the current encryption key is that Tap Forms is expecting? Although it is entirely possible that it was encrypted with a different key than what is in there if you had restored to a previous backup that had ben encrypted with a different key.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

Thanks for replying. Yes, that was one of the first thing I checked out. It shows what I knew was the correct pass word, but the software does not respond to the entry at all.

    Hi Tom,

Hmm… Do you have a recent backup of your database you can try restoring to? Perhaps with Time Machine? The TapForms_db.sqlite file is where most of the data is kept.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

Yes, I tried the time machine on both the app and my backup files.
