Nigel ParrishParticipantJust getting to grips with TFP. Like the new feel of it.
A couple of things I find annoying:
Every time and I mean every time I open a record the tool tip opens by the new record plus sigh to tell me how to add a new record. Can this be turned off in settings please?
The sync ‘circle’ and information message pops up after nearly every record change or addition of a new record. On a phone it obscures the top of the screen for a few seconds and breaks the flow of adding things. Again could this just be a small spinning circle or just do its things quietly in the background. Is there a reason on an iPad that a custom form layout can not be displayed and printed or exported as a PDF like on a Mac? Seems like this aspect of the app is still the same and would be a great pro feature.
Overall still exploring the app and very happy for the continued development. Not big on subscriptions but a half price introduction and £50 odd a year isn’t bad for something I use all the time.Cheers Nigel

BrendanKeymasterHi Nigel,
Thanks for the suggestions about turning off tooltips. I’ll consider that. But they do only show up if you hold the mouse over the controls. If you just move the mouse there and then click, it won’t show.
On iOS, you can turn off the details sync progress and turn it into a very thin line. Tap on Tools, then Sync Service, then scroll to the bottom and turn OFF the “Detailed Sync Progress” setting.
On the iOS version you can print reports that were generated by the new Report Engine in Tap Forms Pro for Mac. You can access it on the records list screen by selecting Reports. Any report you created in the Mac version can be run and printed on iOS. Custom layouts are not supported on the iOS version though.

Nigel ParrishParticipantThank you.
The tooltip only shows on the ipad – every time you go to a form to look at records, not promoted by anything.
Sync progress sorted thanks.
Thanks again Nigel

BrendanKeymasterOh that tooltip! I thought you were talking about the Mac version. Sorry for my misunderstanding.
When you see the tip appear, tap on the X button at the top right of it and it will no longer display.
