tonytParticipantI have reset sync on all machines etc. My iMac and iPad found each other straight away and sync fine. My MacAir sits stubbornly only finding itself! Help. I tried to search the forum but no luck! Is search working properly.
Whilst on the subject of search, it would be good IMHO if search just gave a list of topic titles, not the whole conversations to wade through.
Cheers!August 21, 2015 at 11:27 AM #14489
BrendanKeymasterHi Tony,
Try rebooting all devices.
Thanks,
Brendan

tonytParticipantTried that,no joy, but I did not do the whole reset sync again. Should I?

BrendanKeymasterHi Tony,
Are you sure you’re logged into the exact same iCloud account on your MacBook Air?
Try signing off iCloud and signing back on again on your MacBook Air to see if that fixes it.
Thanks,
Brendan

tonytParticipantI signed out via the iCloud web page. NO JOY!
You don’t mean iCloud Drive do you. I tried that from the system preferences iCloud but it warned me some documents had not been uploaded and would be lost, so I didn’t do that yet!

BrendanKeymasterHi Tony,
Signing off iCloud from the iCloud website won’t have any affect at all.
Yes, I do mean iCloud Drive (or maybe even iCloud altogether if this doesn’t work). You could try just disabling Tap Forms initially and then turn it back on to see if that helps. Maybe reboot after you turn Tap Forms off, then turn it back on after your computer has started again.
Thanks,
Brendan

tonytParticipantNo Joy!

BrendanKeymasterThat makes no sense. All Tap Forms is doing when you enable sync is copying a file to your Mobile Documents folder. It’s up to iCloud Drive to sync those files to your other devices. When the file is synced, Tap Forms simply displays the contents of that file in the list of Registered Devices.
Is iCloud Drive even functioning on that Mac? Does it have the latest version of the OS?

tonytParticipantDon’t ask me how ( which is annoying in the extreme!! ) but all works fine??? Thanks!

BrendanKeymasteriCloud Drive can be a mystery. I’ll be happy when I’ve got Tap Forms using Couchbase syncing across devices.
