Just downloaded trial of TapForms, I have been looking for a label program that will print colour address labels with illustrations.
Have imported 3000 addresses from my Dymo Label program, have laid out a test label and when printing labels I am getting spaces in the label where some field are blank.
In Dymo these blank field are automatically ignored and the lines move up to fill any blank lines.
Can I set TapForms to automatically move up and closed blank lines when printing labels?
Been looking through the help files and have not found how to do this. Not found the answer by searching this forum.

Just to add that on the print menu that pops up when printing.
GENERAL – Print Selected Records is ticked under General, and Record Details Label start row 1, and start column 1, are ticked.
FIELDS – Everything is ticked under Fields, if I untick fields here, is this where the unused fields are marked for not to be printed?
OPTIONS – Everything is unticked in the Options print menu.

It basically uses a bit of code to exclude blank values so you don’t get those blank lines.
When you build a custom layout, the Fields tab on the Print panel has no bearing on what gets printed. That’s just for printing the Default Layout and the Table of records layouts.
Another way to generate a label is to put field names within square brackets inside of a static text object on a custom layout. Click the A button on the toolbar above the layout inspector panel and then draw out a rectangle. At print time, Tap Forms will substitute the field names in brackets with their values. You could also include a Calculation field which compresses the lines in this sort of structure.
For example:
[First Name] [Last Name]
[Address]
[City], [Province] [Postal Code]
[Country]
It doesn’t eliminate blank lines, but it does compress the gaps between the fields on the same line.
