Hi, when I edit my form on my iPad I can choose ‘field options’ such as auto capitalisation, but I can’t find the corresponding option on the Mac. Where is it please?

There’s no corresponding setting for Capitalization on the Mac version.
But field options are available when you click on the field under the Fields tab when you’ve go the form inspector panel displayed on the right. There’s just no “Field Options” label for it since it’s right there below the list of fields in your form.
Hi Brendan, I can see other options on the panel on the right, but nothing that will allow me to change the text to auto capitalisation. (see attached image) Am I looking in the wrong place or have I misunderstood what you were saying?

The Mac version doesn’t support auto-capitalization. That’s the issue, so there’s no setting for it on the Mac version.
Thanks Brendan.So used to the iOs versions being the one to lack certain features, it’s not usually the Mac that has missing features.
Do you think it will be introduced in the future?
It’s not there on Mac because on iOS there’s a feature of the UITextField which you set to enable auto capitalization. But there isn’t a setting for that on macOS when using an NSTextField. So that’s why it’s not on the Mac version. I suppose it’s because the shift key is much more handy on a Mac keyboard than on the iOS keyboard, Apple didn’t feel the need to add that feature.
I get you, that makes sense. I guess I find it useful to use because I design my forms on the Mac, but input all the data on my iPad or iPhone. When I’m inputting on my phone especially it is very useful to have auto caps on. Now I’m aware of the situation it is no problem to design a form on the Mac and then add the auto caps on the iPad before starting to input.
