Version 3.1.3 Released to App Store

Hey All,

The 3.1.3 bug fix release has been approved by Apple and is now available on the App Store. This includes the full iPhone version and Tap Forms HD for the iPad. The Lite version has not gone into review yet.

What's New:

★ Fixed bug which caused email content to show as null when app brought to foreground.
★ Fixed bug which caused CSV exports to only show header row without content when app brought to foreground.
★ Fixed bug in generation of section index titles for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages. This could cause the wrong record to be displayed when you tapped on the record in the list view.
★ Section Heading field type can now be collapsed or expanded on record detail screen.

Thanks!

Brendan

    Hi

I have downloaded and tried the Light version of Tap Forms 3.1.3.
Somehow the app is crashing on me whenever I go to a record and clicking the notes. So I wonder if it is also the same for the full version?
…. or does it only occur for me, perhaps…

Using fresh install of Tap Forms Lite -> enter Sample Form -> enter A sample record -> click on Instructions —>> crash
This is tried on iPhone 3GS iOS 6.0

    Hello Dan,

I haven’t seen this issue before. That’s strange.

I wonder if it has something to do with the 3GS?

I would suggest uninstalling and re-installing. It could be an issue with a bad install from the App Store as I’ve heard of that happening from time to time.

    Thanks,

    Brendan

    Hi Brendan
Thanks for replying.. alltho this support issue may not belong in this comments section…
I suppose there is something wrong with my phone then. I have re-installed several times and even rebooted but to no avail.
If I edit the form and set the instruction field from notes to be a single line text field then it will not crash… but… since there is a lot of text in the sample form instructions already it will overlap as a layer above all other fields when viewing the form. Change it back to notes it will crash once again whenever I go in and try to edit the text inside.
Older version was working fine though.

Oh well, thanks for trying anyways. I will try again when I buy a new iPhone

    Hi Dan,

When you get to the Notes editor screen, Tap Forms loads in a 3rd party library for doing voice recognition. My thoughts are that there’s something on your device that isn’t compatible with the Nuance Dragon voice dictation software I use on that screen.

It would be helpful if you could send me any Tap Forms crash reports that you might have.

You can find the crash reports from the information on this website:

    Thanks,

    Hi Cassandra,

You can use iTunes on your computer to get the current version, then use the App Store on your iPhone to go to the Purchased area and download it there. The App Store app will tell you that you can download the older version then.

    Thanks!

    Brendan
