Hi.

Oh...I'm sorry, I didn't noticed this new feature. Thank you for implementing. I'll take a look on how to reproduce the bug and post it.

I wish you a merry x-mas.

Hello Marc,

This is implemented now. If you've linked a contact, you can tap on the contact row to bring up the menu again. One of the options is "Remove Contact". That will remove the linked contact from the record. It will not delete the contact in the address book, just remove it from the record.

I haven't heard of any crashes when tapping on the Toolbox button.

Is there any chance you can tell me a bit about your iPad? Which iOS are you using? Is it possible for you to send me a crash log?

Thanks,

Brendan

Hi.

Just buyed the iPad Version and wondered why my suggestion to delete an already linked contact is still not implemented? I'm waiting for that since the first iPhone version. Clicking the toolbox button crashes the app several times.

I love tap form, but....

Hello Tom,

You would need to use iTunes File Sharing to copy it to the iPhone & iPad. I will be adding Dropbox support to the backup and restore function soon so you would theoretically be able to do that. But certainly if you use your Desktop as a mediator, you can store your SQLite file on Dropbox and transfer it to your desktop when needed and then to your device via iTunes File Sharing.

Thanks for picking up the iPhone build! I have an update coming out soon which will bring it feature parity with the iPad version (sans the awesomely huge real estate on the iPad version of course).

Thanks fot the reply :)

Sounds interesting. Could I, in theory, keep a copy of the sqlite file in a specific dropbox folder, and import/export it as needed?

Just bought the iPhone build to get accustomed to it. Very nice work mate!

Hi Tom,

There is a beam record function which can take a single record and beam it from one device to the other. It doesn't matter what the device type is in either direction. It does a partial sync of the record. What I mean by that is, it will add a field to the form on the target device, but it will not delete any fields on the target device. The values in the fields will also be synced. Except it does not transfer photos or audio files. That's an area of the application I need to improve.

Alternatively, you will be able to transfer the TapForms_db.sqlite database file between devices and that will let both devices share the exact same information. But it's not a sync. It does let you use the same database on both versions as the file formats are the same (as long as you're running the same version of the app or newer on the target device). That is, you can go up in versions and use the same database file, but not down.

I will be releasing an iPhone update to bring it up to feature parity with the iPad version soon.

Thanks,

Brendan
