Welcome to the iPhone, South Korea

South Korea on Friday finally got their hands on the coveted iPhone. According to an article at iPhoneAsia.com, Koreans lined up by the thousands on Friday to get their hands on the iPhone. They apparently had over 50,000 pre-orders with KT Telecom. That's great news for Koreans and also for iPhone developers such as myself. It's always great when a new country comes online. With the proliferation of tens of thousands of new apps per week, it can be very difficult to get noticed. So having a new population of customers join in the fun is great news!

Today I was looking at my app store rankings and noticed that Korea jumped almost right to the top of the list! Currently I am at the number 1 position in Business and #40 overall for the entire store. Thank you very much Korea for choosing Tap Forms to be your #1 business app!

We'll see how this weekend fairs as my Black Friday sale continues until Monday evening.

Oh ya, if anyone is interested in volunteering to translate Tap Forms to Korean, please contact me at support[at]tapforms.com.

Thanks so much!

Brendan

So it’s the next day and I checked my sales for Korea and it seems that it doesn’t take very much to get to the top of the list. I only sold 2 copies to Korea yesterday. Perhaps the rankings there are delayed by a day? I’ll report back tomorrow. I’m still ranked #1 in Business and I moved up to position #38 in the overall store.
