U.S. Thanks Giving to Black Friday to Cyber Monday Sale – $0.99!!!

Hey there,

Even though I live in Canada and we celebrated our Thanks Giving holiday in October, a lot of US companies, Apple (AAPL) included, are holding big sales this week. They call these special sale days Black Friday and Cyber Monday. To me the name "Black Friday" sounds like something bad is going to happen on that day. Nevertheless, it seems to be a pretty big deal for my American neighbours to the south. So consequently, I've decided to hold a really big sale too for the next few days until Monday evening. I've put Tap Forms on sale for $0.99 USD.

That's definitely as extreme as I can get with my price. It won't last long. So if you were on the fence about purchasing Tap Forms, skip the Lite version and go directly to the full version.

The regular price is $8.99 and that's where I'm happy staying. But it helps with the App Store ranking from time to time to hold a big sale.

This is also a great way to celebrate the release of Tap Forms 1.8.2. I know it sounds like a small upgrade, but it's not really. There are a few new features which I think everyone will love, including a new built-in WebDAV server, a new File Attachment field type, the ability to show and hide the keyboard in the Notes view without leaving the Note, and Facebook Connect integration so you can share your photos and tell all your friends about Tap Forms.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the sale, it won't last long! Be one of the lucky few who get this amazing application for only $0.99!!!

Thanks!

Brendan

Gee! I have bought TapForms just about 1 hour before your announcement! (at regular Euro Price). Next time I shall be less hurried…
Anyway, it’s a wonderful app and I don’t regret my money at all. Keep up the good work.
    Rgds.

    Hello Carl,

Ya, I’m sorry about that. It’s one of the hazards of putting stuff on sale. But I appreciate that you still see the value in Tap Forms even at its regular $8.99 price.

I think it’s a wonderful program at even twice the regular price.

    Thanks!

Hehhe… Thanks Martin. I’m happy you’re enjoying Tap Forms at this great price! I know I was going to run it only until Monday evening, but the sale has been going so well I thought I’d keep it going for a little while longer.

    Thanks!

Love the app. I upgraded the minute I saw the sale. Now, how do I migrate my forms and records from Tap Forms Lite to the upgrade version?

    Thanks.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for buying the full version!

There are two ways to migrate to the full version. One is to use SyncDocs to backup everything. See my FAQ on the support page at https://www.tapforms.com/support/ for instructions on how to backup your database. Restoring is the same, just in reverse.

The second way is to simply export your form as a CSV file from the Lite version, then copy the file to your desktop computer from Tap Forms. You do this by turning on the WebDAV or FTP server from the Files tab. I recommend the WebDAV server as it’s easier to deal with and you can just connect to Tap Forms with your browser at the given IP address. When you turn on the WebDAV server, Tap Forms will tell you what IP address to connect to.

Once you have the CSV file on your desktop, fire up the full version of Tap Forms and upload the file there. Again, you will turn on the WebDAV server and use your browser to upload the file.

Then in Tap Forms full, go to the Files tab and tap the file you just exported. You will be prompted to import or view the file. Tap ‘Import’ and then tap the green Import button on the following page. One thing you’ll want to make sure is that the import and export encodings are the same. I recommend using UTF-8.

Tap Forms will automatically create a form with the name of the CSV file. The fields will also be created for you and then the records will be imported.

    Hope that helps!

    Brendan
